Cookie Policy

Last updated: May 7, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Etherlabz IT Solutions Private Limited uses cookies and similar storage on etherlabz.com. It is part of our Privacy Policy and complements it.

Our SaaS product LocalLeads (under the PostOrbit brand) has its own cookie policy at leads.postorbit.io/privacy.

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file stored on your device when you visit a website. We also treat browser localStorage entries as cookies for the purposes of consent — they are functionally similar in that they persist between visits.

What we use, plainly

We've kept this site's cookie footprint minimal on purpose. There are three categories you may encounter, and only one is on by default.

1. Essential — always active

Required to make the site work. We don't ask for consent because the site cannot function without these.

  • cookie_consent (localStorage) — stores your choices for the categories below so we don't ask again on every page load. Set when you click any button on the consent banner. Persists until you clear your browser storage.
  • Astro session — short-lived server-side session for form posts (e.g., the contact form). No personal data stored beyond the request.
  • Chatwoot widget (loaded from app.chatwoot.com) — sets functional cookies to keep an open conversation in sync between page loads. Necessary for the support chat to work; no marketing or cross-site tracking.

2. Analytics — opt-in

Helps us understand which pages people read and which CTAs work. Disabled by default; loaded only after you accept analytics in the consent banner.

  • Google Analytics 4 — sets _ga, _ga_*, and similar cookies on the etherlabz.com domain. Configured with IP-anonymisation and Google Consent Mode v2. Data retention is 14 months.

3. Marketing — opt-in (currently unused on etherlabz.com)

Reserved category in the consent banner. We don't currently load marketing or advertising cookies on this site, and we don't share your data with ad networks. The category exists so that, if we ever add a feature that requires it (e.g., a remarketing pixel for a campaign), we already have a working consent mechanism — it will not load anything until you explicitly opt in.

Third-party content embedded in blog posts

The blog at etherlabz.co is hosted on WordPress and may include embedded content from YouTube, Twitter/X, or similar platforms. These embeds may set their own cookies under their own privacy policies. Where possible we use privacy-friendly embed modes (e.g., youtube-nocookie.com).

How to manage your choices

You can change your consent at any time:

  • Clear the cookie_consent entry from your browser's storage and reload — the banner will reappear.
  • Use your browser's privacy controls to block or delete cookies. Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge all provide per-site cookie controls.
  • Withdraw analytics consent — analytics scripts are unloaded immediately and Google Consent Mode is updated to "denied".

Withdrawing consent does not affect data already collected; for that, see the "Your rights" section of our Privacy Policy.

Do Not Track

We honour the browser's "Do Not Track" signal as a default-deny for analytics: if your browser sends DNT, we do not load analytics even if you previously accepted, until you explicitly re-confirm.

Changes to this policy

We update this page when we add or remove cookies. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the current version.
